"Queen of Hearts" - Juice Newton

Okay, listen. I’ve gone through three different drafts of today’s recommendation, to no avail. I was going to do “Election Day” by Arcadia, but that seems a little too on the nose. And besides, I don’t even really like that song. Then I picked a shoegaze song just to try and treat today like any other day. But that felt too dreary.

So here’s the deal, today’s recommendation is Juice Newton’s “Queen of Hearts.” Why? Because it came up on shuffle yesterday when I was in the car. It’s catchy, and bouncy and fun to sing along to. That’s it. That’s the tweet/pick.
